Instagram is the heaven for mobile photographers to upload their media files and connect to the world. The photo-sharing site is growing fast and within the next few months, it will surpass the business of other leading social sites including Facebook and Twitter.
Even though Instagram is popular among the new generation photographic enthusiasts, it has a limitation. Users can’t upload photos to Instagram from a computer. Whether you are accessing Instagram from a web browser or a desktop app, you can just view the Instagram feed and respond to the photos. You need to open the Instagram app on mobile to upload the photos.
Instagram is designed mainly for the smartphone photographers. That is the main reason why it doesn’t allow you to upload from a computer.
In this post, we’ll show you how to upload photos to Instagram from a PC. This trick will work only for the Google Chrome users.
Install and activate Downloader for Instagram extension on Chrome first. It is an advanced, easy to use tool for the Instagrammers to manage their account right from the desktop.
Once it installed, open your Instagram account in Chrome. Click the user icon to open your profile.
Now you will see a camera icon on the right side of your page (next to the settings option).
Click the icon to upload your photos. It will show you two options – Add to profile or Add to stories. Click on your choice. A box will open to select the photo from your media library. Choose your photo.
Adjust the photo within the frame by dragging to the left or right and click Next. It will ask you to add a caption for the image (max 2000 characters). Give a caption and click Next again.
That’s it. The photo is successfully uploaded to your Instagram account.
