Are you accidentally deleted an important file or image on the computer? Don’t you know how to restore it?
In this very short guide, I will tell you how to restore a deleted file in seconds.
I assume you already activated file history backup feature for the folder that contains your lost file. It’s a powerful option to automatically backup your personal files at predefined intervals. So you can quickly restore a deleted document, photo, video or any other file type from the backup. It can also be used to go back to the previous versions of a file anytime you want.
Tap gear icon in the Start menu to open Windows settings.
Select Update & security option.
Click Backup from the left pane and choose More options in the main window.
Scroll down to locate the link, Restore files from a current backup. A new window will open with the folders for which the file history backup activated. Click on the folder where your lost file was saved. Now it will show the old version of your deleted item according to the time of backup taken.
Right-click on the item to quickly view its preview. Select the file and hit the green color Restore button at the bottom to restore it to the original location.
