We saw some brilliant tools for Mac to markup, annotate images and PDF files. They’re also useful to type and highlight texts, edit files and share them via email, social media, SMS etc.
Now we’re going to show you how to quickly annotate a PDF file or image on Mac.
Mac has inbuilt tools for doing the job. You can preview most of the files on Mac OS using Quick Look. Click the desired file and press spacebar on the keyboard to open it in preview mode. Alternatively, you can see preview in this way too- Choose File > Quick Look.
Click View from the menu bar and choose Show Annotations Toolbar option.
A new toolbar will appear on the top where you can annotate, type, highlight texts, draw and sign documents without using any third party tools.
If Markup toolbar is not showing, click the toolbar icon from the top side.
Now you can edit and delete texts, copy or delete desired part of images, draw shapes, type texts, add digital signatures, change the color of texts and shapes & more on PDF and images.
