In this short guide, how to turn on or off Wi-Fi connection on a Windows computer.

Locate WiFi icon on the right side of the taskbar. Click on it to get the additional options. A window will popup which will show available networks and options to enable/disable Wifi, Airplane mode and Mobile hotspot in a single click. In the above screenshot, WiFi option appears in blue color as it’s currently active. Click on it to turn off Wifi. Now its background turns to gray color and the networks names are disappeared.

Tap Airplane mode, Mobile hotspot options to enable or disable them in one click.

If you’re unable to locate WiFi icon in the taskbar, here’s what to do.

Tap gear icon in the Start menu to open settings.

Click on Network & Internet. A new window will open with network related settings. Choose Wi-Fi.

Drag the toggle button to the right or left to manage your Wi-Fi connection. Scroll down to find and manage other options like Airplane mode, Mobile hotspot, Bluetooth etc.
